Good and Perfect Gifts
Tuesday, February 19th, 2002What an amazing day.
Had an all-day call session, which I’ve dreaded (loudly) for two weeks. However, it was utterly fantastic.
First of all, I called my ass off. Second of all, I proved that I can do it. Third of all, I had an opportunity to talk to my regional leader, and get a little something off my chest.
It’s the fourth of all that I like the best.
Apparently, something is going on with something in regards to a 401(k) plan at the firm. They are looking for someone to take over - someone “aggressive, energetic, with lots of ideas.” It was offered to my regional leader, but he turned it down… it has 300 employees and he has his own book of clients to deal with. But…
Dum dum dum……..
He recommended me.
Holy shit, Batman. That’s at least 100 accounts, with assets of over $750k.
My “interview” with the company is next Wednesday. No pressure. Just be the 401(k) expert or they’ll look for someone else!
ACK!
But what an opportunity! And what does this say about my regional leader’s confidence in me? Perhaps I should have nearly as much confidence in myself!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA,
