Par-Tay

I do believe it’s time for a party. I have too many friends of Stephen’s I haven’t met, and I want to spend some time with each of Stephen’s wonderful brothers. Sebastian is the brother I feel like I hardly know. I’ve hung out with Stu and his wife Whitney a few times, and feel like I know them better. His brother Sean is Justin’s newest idol - at dinner on Sunday night they were quite the pair. I already like Sean a lot because he has Stephen’s sense of humor. I’m lucky - I already like them all, truth be told.

Then there are my “big brothers” from work, who are giving me much sound advice on the matter of getting married, but whom have not met Stephen yet. This must be rectified so they give me some peace.

My brother and sister (and their significant others) might enjoy another opportunity to hang out with Stephen as well, which I think would be swell. (Yes, I said ’swell.’)

I figure that if I don’t have a party soon, I’ll be the busiest person on the planet for the next six month of Saturdays, given how frequently I’ve heard, “We’ll all have to go to dinner,” in the past week. I’ll just conquer that in one fell swoop.

(Not that I mind going out to dinner or anything, of course.)

The entire idea of a party may go up in smoke if we can’t get the house into presentable condition in a week. Currently I wouldn’t want anyone within 50 feet of it.

But that’s what spring break is for. ::kidding::

Happy,

Booked Yac’s today. I found it a little nervewracking to write the check for the deposit, but I’m happy with the place. They handle every single little detail so I don’t have to worry about it. It was either that, or coordinate like six or seven different vendors and worry about it myself - flowers, cake, caterer, equipment rental, etc. This way, I only have to pick a cake and a DJ. I like the sound of that. I’ll just work harder so we can pay for it.
