Wedding Weight
Tuesday, May 18th, 2004It’s time to get serious about losing some weight. I don’t really want to get serious, honestly. That entails sweat and hard work and keeping away from food. Yuck. But - yeah, butt - I’m 10lbs away from a weight where my dress might actually fit.
I knew it wasn’t going to fit when I bought it. It’s waaaaay snug. I figured it wouldn’t be hard to lose 10lbs in five months, right? But I forgot about the extra time required for alterations. And how much I love non-diet soda. And sweets. And dammit - who has time to work out, anyway? Not me. So ‘Not Me’ has got to get her ass into a gym or onto the treadmill NOW. And stop eating. And stop drinking Dr. Pepper. Yeah, we’re talking virtual hell. I thought I’d start documenting my trek from fat to wedding dress weight. Maybe once a week I’m going to force myself to update with my weight. Hmph. I do not want to do this at all. But honestly, Jen has motivated me to get off my butt. She’s lost 10 kilos - 22lbs - since I visited her. I don’t think I’d recognize her. She walks every day, and not the piddly 25 minutes I can barely scrape together on the treadmill. She walks 45 minutes, in the park. Damn if she’s not my hero. I’m going to have to call her for some low-fat recipes, too. So, ‘fessing up: current weight: 157. My height is 5′9″. This makes my “ideal” weight 145. Time to get into my wedding dress. ::sigh::
