A Week of Dreams
Tuesday, September 28th, 2004We’re at Secrets now. And, wow.
I highly recommend this resort. It’s utterly amazing. Of course, we’re enjoying the resort with no thanks to our travel agent Sandy at Jan’s Travel. She can take a flying leap. The resort is 100% functional, and because we believed the resort instead of Apple Tours and Jan’s Travel, Secrets rewarded us with a gift certificate for two 30-minute swedish massages and - oh, yeah - a free seven-day, six-night vacation at Secrets any time before December 2005. All we have to do is get here. Wow. They upgraded us to not only an ocean view, but the “Excellence Club” as well. I’m typing on free internet access in the Club right now, sitting across from Stephen - who I believe is updating as well. There’s a concierge fully devoted to our every need. The room has a jacuzzi in it - and it’s big enough for two people (trust me on this). Last night we dined on the best Continental cuisine I’ve ever had. Creamy pumpkin soup, chateaubriand, some sort of mashed potato concoction, and some other vegetable. Dessert was chocolate mousse for me, cheesecake for Stephen. They’re going to have to roll us home. Since we had to get up at 5a to get to the airport on time (and still had to literally run to the gate) I was exhausted last night, and went to bed early. Stephen was scraping me out of bed at 1p this afternoon. I’m so glad we have absolutely nothing important to do this week. The beach is a dream. There are red flags on the beach, indicating rough waters. It’s beautiful. Today Stephen and I fell asleep on a big hammock under the palm trees while listening to the surf. I don’t ever want to come home. Absolutely content, michelle
