Hell Froze

I can hardly believe it. She's been promising to come visit since 2002, and now - WOW! She's coming!

I was telling S. that she needs to see Chicago, New Orleans, New York, the west coast, etc, etc, and he was all, well, she'll have fun. We'll have fun, I corrected him. Jen and I are going to see some sights! (The only problem I'll have is taking massive amounts of time away from work, but I'll figure something out.)

Baby will be nearly 5 months old by then. I won't be gone for long stretches. I think it will work. Right?

Maybe this is a great sign that I need to get a minivan when I sell my car. I've been kicking it around (not very enthusiastically) but now, when I think about a trip up the east coast with plenty of room - cool, baby. Maybe I'll just have to figure out how to grow up a little quicker. I'm not a soccer mom yet, but I have a feeling I'm going to need the room.

We'll see.

So now there's all this planning! I am so excited. She actually put the deposit down today. SHE'S COMING! REALLY FOR REAL! Woo!
